As bp transitions to an integrated energy company, we must adapt to a changing world and maintain competitive performance. bp’s customers & products (C&P) business area is setting up a business and technology centre (BTC) in Pune, India. This will support the delivery of an enhanced customer experience and drive innovation by building global capabilities at scale, demonstrating technology, and developing deep expertise. The BTC will be a core and connected part of our business, bringing together colleagues who report into their respective part of C&P, working together with other functions across bp. The EV Charging Planning and Performance Analyst is key to driving our business growth and success by maximizing utilization and optimizing commercial operations. They will collect, analyze, and present data and insights to support informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report on operational and financial performance, including cost analysis and budget tracking
  • Collaborate with the German Team to deliver financial forecasts and scenario planning to support strategic decisions (e.g. for the Group Financial Outlook, channel, customer and portfolio management)
  • Partner with data teams to develop KPIs and performance metrics, creating accurate and insightful reporting dashboards
  • Develop business cases, working closely with key teams across the business, and evaluate the commercial viability of new opportunities
  • Manage the implementation of pricing changes technically across the network
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights to drive business improvement and growth opportunities
  • Prepare regular reports with key insights and develop presentations to communicate key findings and recommendations
  • Support contract performance management of destination partners in the public charging network managing payments processes, validation and contractual obligations
  • Stay informed on regulatory and technological changes impacting the industry

Primary Key Performance Indicators (KPI) you will deliver against: Unit Gross Margin, TTC:GM

Secondary KPI: Sessions/bay/week

Education and Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in data analysis, financial analysis and market research.
  • Excellent analytical skills to drive insight from data. Excellent in Excel.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience in a consumer goods industry, ideally the EV charging business.
  • Experience with PowerBI.

You will work with:

You will be part of the Network Commercial Team, supporting them with financial planning, performance management and business casing. Since you will conduct analyses on pricing, sales channels, customer groups and our EV charging site portfolio you will work across a range of stakeholders in the wider bp pulse organisation. Moreover, you will be one of the key interfaces into Finance.
