Job Description:

To manage the operation of the PG / EG rig test in rig laboratory in support of the development technologists.

To manage the operation of the PG / EG blending test in blending laboratory in support of the development technologists.

The role holder will work under guidance of the Team Leader.

Key Results/ Accountabilities expected from role

• Design / operate rig test for PG / EG coolant. Generate test results to technologists

• Responsible for the development and implementation of new rig test methods and procedures based on the inputs/ requirements from either internal customers (e.g. product development teams, marketing teams...) or external customers (e.g. OEMs, engineering firms, key system or component manufacturers...) -Must ensure the timely completion and quality of planned rig tests
  -Process, report and interpret the testing data in an accurate and appropriate way to product development team and other stakeholders and ensure good documentation
  -Must ensure the rig testing laboratory is maintained in good order
  -Ensure the spare parts and testing material supply
  -Develop and execute the calibration and maintenance plan for the lab
  -Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of up to date quality documentation
  -Capability to use PowerBI or other software to do data analysis
  -Manage and prioritise blending of oils and stability testing as requested by Product

Development Technologists and Team Leader:

-Manage storage of incoming raw materials including stock control, QC and MSDS
-Responsible for the implementation and management of laboratory operating procedures e.g. equipment calibration, raw material storage, equipment maintenance responsibilities
-Responsible for conducting blending within the laboratory
-Submission of samples for testing both externally and internally
-Co-ordinate training for new starters and visitors
-Arrange purchase of consumables and new laboratory equipment
-Work closely with the Team Leader and development technologists to ensure application of best laboratory practices, sample handling, lab standards and all HSSE regulations.
