About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Development Manager to drive growth and expand our market presence across Egypt and North Africa. This role will be instrumental in developing and implementing sales strategies, fostering key relationships, and achieving ambitious sales targets in a rapidly evolving market.

What you will deliver

  • Develop and implement comprehensive account strategies to improve business opportunities and cultivate long-term customer relationships within Egypt and North Africa.
  • Apply consultative selling skills to understand customer needs, present tailored solutions, and effectively articulate the value proposition of BP products and services.
  • Conduct detailed business analysis and market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and customer behaviors.
  • Apply Agility core practices to adapt to market changes, optimize sales processes, and drive continuous improvement within the sales function.
  • Analyze customer profitability and segmentation to prioritize efforts and optimize resource allocation for maximum impact.
  • Develop and manage robust sales forecasting and demand planning for the assigned region, ensuring accurate projections and proactive resource management.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong internal alignment with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate a global perspective in understanding regional nuances and adapting strategies to local market conditions.
  • Negotiate value-driven agreements with key accounts, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes and sustainable partnerships.
  • Manage and nurture partner relationships, encouraging teamwork and maximizing joint business development opportunities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the sector, providing insights and mentorship to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Effectively manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure alignment and drive successful outcomes.

What you will need to be successful

  • Proven experience in sales development or a similar role within the oil and gas or related industry, specifically within Egypt and North Africa.
  • Demonstrated expertise in account strategy and business development.
  • Strong understanding and application of consultative selling skills.
  • Proficiency in business analysis, market research, and competitive intelligence.
  • Experience with customer profitability analysis and customer segmentation.
  • Ability to apply Agility core practices in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of achieving win-win outcomes.
  • Solid experience in sales forecasting and demand planning.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong partner relationships.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A global perspective with an understanding of diverse market dynamics.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
