Job Description: Role Synopsis
This role will involve the development and support of processes and systems for strategic sourcing.
The provision of Event Management or e Sourcing support for bp users and suppliers for RFx and act as a liaison between business partners and suppliers. Handle the RFx process and auction using ARIBA. Activities include event set up, messaging board management, scoring and evaluation, response administration and ad-hoc support
1. Catalyzing competitive bidding
- Influence partner decision on e Auction opportunities.
- Define Rfx template and suggest tool selection and evaluation methodologies as a trusted advisor for e Sourcing guidelines.
- Advise and build source selection criteria into the system based on business priorities and requirements, leveraging on advanced bid analysis and optimisation where applicable.
- Gain necessary project information for the assigned tender via engaging Business Partners and provide historical data insights of supplier bidding performance to support sourcing decisions.
- Enterprise e Sourcing platform ownership
- Support query handling and issue resolution from process perspective (concerns, root cause analysis, key incident reports, document process changes).
- Take a new way and support/lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Run operational reports to ensure KPIs and SLAs are met.
- Act as functional SME and ensure all Systems and tools are available; issues are raised and escalated in a timely manner to the relevant service providers.
3. Drive tail spend automation
- Setup, implement and handle identified new automated sourcing solutions.
- Increase speed and process compliance of e Sourcing project through system configuration and automation opportunities.
4. e-Auction and complex RFx management
- Handle complex e Sourcing events such as RFI, RFP, RFQ, e Auction for direct and indirect categories.
- Build and implement e Sourcing events in the tool in line with requirements (eg: visibility conditions).
- Communicate status and progress of project to customers and partners.
- Handle supplier interactions through event lifecycle.
- Provide high quality report and analyses for decision making support (eg: excel custom reports, optimisation, online evaluation, scoring).
- Handle and acknowledge project requests in a timely manner, and ensure balanced workload allocation in sub-team (Gatekeeper).
- Support and enable Sourcing activities across teams, based on requirements.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in any discipline and / or related field
- Minimum 10 years in strategic Sourcing, with a total of 6 years working experience
- Shift hours: 11am - 8pm, 1pm – 10pm, flexibility required according to business needs
- Experience in working on e Sourcing tools like Ariba Sourcing for at least 1-2 years (experience in any eRFx tools may be considered)
- Intermediary knowledge of strategic sourcing and PCSM concepts
- Proficient desktop computing experience – an ability to learn applications such as Ariba Spend Management and Salesforce
- Proficiency in Office software such as Excel with Intermediary knowledge
