Job Description:
The M&C Security Lead plays a critical role in enabling a safe, secure and resilient retail and customer‑facing environment across the M&C business. This role delivers security outcomes through uplifted technology, data‑driven insights and simplified, scalable processes, while supporting a strong culture of safety and security awareness.
Working as part of the Global C&P Security Team, this role partners closely with Operations, HSE, Technology and senior partners to design and deploy future‑focused security solutions that are aligned with business objectives, risk appetite and regulatory expectations.
What you will deliver Security strategy, policy and programme delivery
- Contribute to the development and execution of security policies, standards and projects for the M&C business, ensuring alignment with global security strategy, HSE requirements and operational needs.
Technology enablement and innovation
- Identify, evaluate and implement emerging security and loss‑prevention technologies. Build cases, lead cross‑functional rollout programmes and support ongoing adoption to ensure systems remain relevant and future‑focused.
Risk assessment and barrier management
- Conduct site‑level risk and vulnerability assessments (URP or agreed model) to identify threats and recommend practical, value‑based improvements to physical barriers, processes and controls.
Data‑led insights and investigations
- Analyse datasets including BOSCAR, crime statistics, demographics, Auror and internal fraud data to identify trends, emerging risks and organised retail crime (ORC). Partner with internal teams and law enforcement to minimise loss and exposure.
Standards, training and capability uplift
- Partner with HSE and Operational Excellence teams to design and deliver consistent security standards, processes and training that reinforce a culture of safety and security across all customer‑facing roles.
Stakeholder engagement and representation
- Represent ISC internally and externally, presenting insights clearly to influence decision‑making, support investment alignment and foster strong relationships with business crime reduction partnerships and law‑enforcement agencies.
What you will need to be successful
- Education & communication capability:
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, persuasive content for diverse audiences.
- Security & operational experience:
Mid to senior experience in operational or security‑related roles managing multiple sites, ideally within a multinational or complex retail environment.
- Risk management & investigative expertise:
Proven experience in risk assessment, barrier improvement planning and conducting investigations related to loss prevention, fraud or theft.
- Data & analytical skills:
Demonstrated ability to collect, analyse and interpret data to identify trends, support investigations and enable targeted, evidence‑based action.
- Cross‑functional influence & leadership:
Strong track record of working across functions, influencing leadership teams, building consensus and supporting budget or investment decisions.
- Customer & external partnership management:
Experience working with local and national enforcement agencies and representing security interests in internal governance forums and external industry partnerships
