Job Description:

This role is accountable for delivering safe, reliable, supply-secure, quality, and cost-efficient operations across bp’s terminals in New Zealand. The network includes** joint venture operated terminals, joint industry terminals, and third-party terminal access arrangements**, making this a highly visible and impactful position within the supply chain.

As a key safety influencing role, you will play a critical part in managing and improving bp’s exposure risk across New Zealand terminals. This is achieved through living our safety leadership principles and ensuring effective non-operated joint venture (NOJV) management.

You will also own the New Zealand terminals budget, leading planning, in-year forecasting, and delivery. A core focus of the role is driving performance improvement with terminaloperators to meet bp’s evolving supply chain needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, reliable and efficient operations across bp’s New Zealand terminals network
  • Manage and improve exposure risk through strong safety leadership and effective** NOJV management**
  • Own the New Zealand terminals budget, including planning, forecasting, and performance delivery
  • Drive performance improvement with terminal operators
  • Build and manage strategic relationships to deliver risk management and long-term value for bp
  • Act as bp’s representative for jointly owned assets, including industry pipelines
  • Support the Midstream Infrastructure Senior Manager in delivering the ANZ infrastructure strategy as the** New Zealand Terminals Subject Matter Authority**
  • Provide infrastructure and safety Subject Matter Expertise to the New Zealand Supply Optimisation team across planning, strategy, and forums
  • Contribute Terminals Subject Matter Expertise to** Crisis Management and Business Continuity Planning and Execution**

Essential Experience

  • Strong safety and risk management skills, with a focus on safe, reliable, and efficient operations
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, both internally and externally
  • Experience in hydrocarbon terminals operations and asset management
  • Proven ability to manage NOJVs and/or third parties to drive performance and delivery
  • Demonstrated capability leading complex cross-functional projects
  • Ability to influence outside of direct line authority
  • Experience in portfolio management

Desirable Experience

  • Understanding of the New Zealand hydrocarbon supply chain and terminals
  • Experience in hydrocarbon infrastructure contract ownership and/or negotiation
