Senior Data Engineer/ AI Engineer – Supply Chain (Databricks focus)

• Own the architecture and DevOps of the AI platform on Databricks (Delta Lake, workflows, governance, environments)

• Design AI-ready data architecture optimized for LLM and agent use cases (low-latency retrieval, semantic layers, feature access)

• Lead implementation and scaling of Databricks Genie (or similar) for natural language → data interaction

• Build and deploy LLM-powered applications and agents that leverage enterprise data and systems

• Implement RAG pipelines end-to-end (data ingestion → embedding → retrieval → evaluation)

• Integrate enterprise systems (SAP, internal DBs, APIs) via connectors, MCP, and tool-calling interfaces

• Establish CI/CD, testing, and observability standards for both data + AI workloads

• Optimize performance, cost, and reliability of Databricks workloads and AI systems

• Collaborate with AI engineers and analysts to ensure scalable and production-ready AI use cases

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or similar

• 5+ years experience across AI engineering, data platform engineering, or backend systems

Deep expertise in Databricks:

• Spark, Delta Lake, job orchestration

• Workspace/environment setup & governance

• Performance tuning and cost optimization

• Strong experience with platform engineering / DevOps:

• CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, deployment workflows

• Monitoring, logging, and production reliability

• Strong Python + SQL

• Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI systems (OpenAI, Anthropic, or OSS models)

• Experience building RAG systems, embeddings pipelines, and vector search

• Understanding of MCP, APIs, connectors, and tool integration

• Experience with Databricks Genie or similar semantic/query layers

• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) and supply chain data is a plus
