Bosch Home Comfort is seeking a Distribution Purchasing Leader to lead purchasing, inventory planning, and supply execution for the recently acquired JC Residential and Light Commercial Company-Owned Distribution Network. This role oversees a team of6 and is responsible for end-to-end inventory strategy, including procurement from internal factories and third-party suppliers.

This leader will drive inventory optimization, product availability, and cost efficiency across a100+ store distribution network, supporting both Factory Direct and US Air channels, while partnering closely with the Americas Procurement Organization.

Key Responsibilities Inventory Planning & Procurement Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of 6 responsible for purchasing, replenishment, and inventory management
  • Oversee procurement of factory-supplied products and third-party parts/supplies
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels, service levels, and fill rates across the distribution network
  • Drive alignment between demand planning, supply planning, and purchasing execution Supply Chain & Inventory Optimization
  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize inventory, reduce stockouts, and minimize excess/obsolete inventory
  • Standardize planning and replenishment processes across a 100+ location store network
  • Monitor and improve key KPIs including:
  • Service level / fill rate
  • Inventory turns
  • Working capital
  • Cost reduction and margin improvement

Supplier & Category Management

  • Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and performance management for third-party vendors
  • Partner with internal factories to ensure supply continuity, lead time alignment, and cost competitiveness
  • Manage pricing, terms, and supplier agreements to support financial targets

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, Finance, and Product Management to align inventory strategies with business needs
  • Collaborate in a matrixed environment across Factory Direct, US Air, and Procurement teams
  • Identify operational gaps and implement scalable solutions across the network

Operations, Planning & Execution

  • Oversee replenishment strategies, safety stock levels, and demand alignment
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of purchase orders and inventory flows
  • Track and manage project deliverables, risks, and issue resolution Continuous Improvement & Reporting
  • Analyze business processes to drive efficiency improvements and cost savings initiatives
  • Develop and maintain reporting to track inventory health, supplier performance, and operational KPIs
  • Lead initiatives to improve planning systems, tools, and processes Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory planning, or procurement
  • 2+ years of leadership experience, managing buyers/planners or similar roles
  • Experience in both procurement and inventory planning/replenishment
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (domestic/international)Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Experience in HVAC, manufacturing, or distribution environments
  • Proven experience managing both direct (factory) and indirect/third-party sourcing
  • Strong background in supplier negotiations and vendor management
  • Experience supporting multi-site or retail/distribution networks
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and planning tools (SAP preferred)
