[SO] Senior Data Analyst

Key Responsibilities Power BI (PBI) Development

• Design and develop end-to-end BI solutions using Power BI based on business requirements
• Extract, transform, and integrate data from multiple structured and semi-structured sources
• Build scalable and optimized data models (fact/dimension, star schema) aligned with data warehousing best practices
• Develop interactive dashboards and reports tailored to business needs
• Implement time-based data modeling (historical vs latest snapshot) to support analytical use cases
• Utilize SSAS as a semantic layer / data source for enterprise reporting

Power BI Operations & Support

• Act as the main point of contact for customer inquiries and issue resolution
• Provide consulting and recommendations for data/reporting improvements
• Troubleshoot and resolve data/report/dashboard issues with root cause analysis
• Manage change requests and enhancements for existing BI solutions
• Ensure dataset reliability, performance tuning, and lifecycle maintenance
• Handle data versioning and “data freezing” processes based on business requirements

Data Engineering / SQL Server Development

• Design and maintain database architecture aligned with business and system requirements
• Develop and optimize ETL pipelines using tools such as SSIS and SQL-based processing
• Manage data integration workflows ensuring data quality, consistency, and performance
• Perform advanced DML operations and data correction based on business needs
• Maintain and monitor data warehouse systems (MS SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
• Ensure efficient handling of large-scale data and incremental data processing

Cloud & Modern Data Platform

• Work with cloud-based data platforms (ex: Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, etc.)
• Leverage Microsoft Fabric for modern data analytics, data integration, and unified BI workflows
• Design scalable, cloud-native data architectures supporting analytics and reporting
• Integrate on-premise and cloud data sources into a unified data platform

Machine Learning / AI (R&D and Application)

• Research and evaluate Machine Learning / AI techniques for business applications

• Develop and prototype ML/AI solutions using Python and relevant frameworks

• Apply ML models to real-world use cases such as prediction, classification, or optimization

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-driven insights

• 2–3+ years of experience in BI development tools:**Power BI (primary),**Tableau, Qlik Sense or equivalent visualization platforms.

• Strong experience in data warehousing and** database** systems:** MS SQL Server, Oracle**

• Hands-on experience with SSIS (ETL)and SSAS(data modeling / semantic layer)

• Experience designing time-based data models (historical vs snapshot data)

• Experience with modern cloud data platforms(e.g.,** Microsoft Fabric**, Microsoft Azure, Databricks or similar)

• 1–2+ years of experience in Machine Learning / AI development

• Strong programming skills in Python for data processing and ML applications

• Good understanding of data modeling, ETL design, and performance optimization

• Fluent English communication

• Good attitude for teamwork and willingness to learn

• Good to have Project Management skills such as PMP, Agile Scrum…

• Good to have second language such as Japanese, Chinese, German…
