
Lead- Functional Safety (Electric Axle)
About the role
Technical Skills: Core Functional Safety:In-depth understanding of ISO 26262 (all parts, particularly Parts 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10).Proficiency in conducting Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA).Experience in developing Functional Safety Concepts (FSC) and Technical Safety Concepts (TSC).Knowledge of safety analysis techniques: FMEA, FTA, DFA.Understanding of safety metrics (SPFM, LFM, PMHF) for hardware and software.Automotive Systems:Strong background in automotive electronics, specifically power electronics (inverters, DC-DC converters).Solid understanding of electric machines (PSM,ASM) and their control principles.Basic knowledge of transmission systems (e.g., gearboxes, differentials) in an e-Axle context.Familiarity with vehicle network architectures (CAN, LIN) and associated communication safety.Knowledge of relevant automotive industry standards and regulations beyond ISO 26262.Methodology & Soft Skills:Proven experience in applying the ISO 26262 standard throughout the automotive product development lifecycle.Understanding and experience with the V-model development process in safety-critical environments.Strong understanding of risk assessment and mitigation strategies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex technical and safety concepts to diverse audiences (engineers, management, suppliers). Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, influencing without direct authority. Self-starter with the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
