About the role

Your tasks

Your contribution to something big:

Help shape the future of sustainable heating solutions. As part of our Research & Development team, you will drive the technical development of innovative solar thermal and hydraulic products, contributing to energy-efficient solutions for tomorrow.

  • Lead the technical development, integration, and lifecycle management of our sourced (OEM) Solar Thermal and Hydraulic Accessory portfolio (HAWA A/B), ensuring innovative and reliable product solutions.
  • Translate system-level R&D requirements into detailed technical and functional specifications to enable seamless integration into complex heating and hybrid thermal systems.
  • Drive the technical management and qualification of international OEM suppliers, steering product development while ensuring compliance with Bosch quality standards and applicable regulations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute laboratory testing and product validation activities, analyzing test results to continuously improve product performance, reliability, and quality.
  • Partner with Product Management, Purchasing, Quality, and other cross-functional teams throughout the entire product lifecycle—from concept development to serial production—while supporting cost optimization and product standardization initiatives.

Your profile

What distinguishes you: Education: Completed university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Technology, Renewable Energies, or a comparable field.

Experience:

  • Experience in product development and the evaluation/technical qualification of solarthermal, hydraulic, or HVAC-related systems (preferably in collaboration with OEM/ODM suppliers).

Know-how:

  • Solid knowledge of thermodynamics and applied hydraulics.
  • Hands-on ability in CAD interpretation and tolerancing to verify component fit and system integration.
  • Good understanding of hydraulic and solar standards, European directives, and eco-certifications (e.g., Solar Keymark).

Working Style and Methods:

  • Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to proactively manage supplier relations and think in a cost-, quality-, and value-driven way.

Personality:

  • Communicative team player with a proactive mindset, comfortable working with international partners and cross-functional teams.
  • Motivated to learn, adapt, and take technical ownership in a fast-paced engineering environment

Languages: Professional language proficiency in English (very good written and spoken skills required).
