ServiceNow Service Portal Developer

Your tasks

Specialized Service Now Service Portal Developer to lead the UI/UX transformation of our platform. You will focus exclusively on building modern, high-performance Service Portals, Employee Centers, and custom UI components. This role requires an expert front-end developer who understands the unique architecture of the Service Now Portal framework and can build complex, custom widgets from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

• Widget Architecture: Design, clone, code, and maintain highly interactive, reusable Service Portal widgets from scratch.
• UI/UX Customisation: Translate wireframes and Figma designs into responsive pixel-perfect portal pages using Bootstrap and CSS/SASS.
• Portal Core Development: Manage portal configurations, including search sources, theme definitions, main menus, headers, footers, and CSS inclusions.
• Full-Stack Portal Scripting: Write efficient client controllers (AngularJS), server scripts (JavaScript/GlideRecord), and link functions.
• User Experience Optimization: Implement advanced portal features like real-time data updates, dynamic forms, and asynchronous data loading via Glide Ajax.
• Mobile Responsiveness: Ensure all portal pages and custom widgets are fully responsive and optimized for mobile devices and tablets.
• Performance Tuning: Troubleshoot and resolve slow portal page load times, widget rendering bottlenecks, and browser compatibility issues.

Required Technical Skills

• Service Now Portals: Expert-level knowledge of the Service Portal framework, widget editor, and standard portal tables.
• JavaScript Frameworks: Deep proficiency in** AngularJS (1.x)**, native JavaScript, and JSON data manipulation.
• Front-End Styling: Advanced mastery of** HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap 3/4**.
• API Utilization: Strong experience utilizing Service Now REST APIs to fetch and display external data within portal widgets.
• Angular Providers: Proven experience creating custom Angular Services, Directives, and Factories within the Service Now environment.
