As a Function Developer for our Powertrain Solutions division, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative technologies for the entire powertrain. Specifically, within the PS-TC department, responsible for solenoid development in the automatic transmission control units and new field of solenoid applications.

Your tasks:

• Develop and design new solenoid concepts for transmission control and emerging applications
• Design and analyze electromagnetic and electro-hydraulic systems (force, stroke, fluid control)
• Translate customer and system requirements into functional and performance specifications
• Validate concepts through simulations and laboratory measurements
• Analyze test results and iterate designs to achieve optimal performance
• Collaborate with simulation and testing teams to define validation approaches
• Contribute to innovative solutions (e.g. sensor-less position detection concepts)
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations
• Work closely with international stakeholders across development, production, and suppliers
• MSc or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge in electromagnetism, hydraulics, control systems or simulation methods
• Experience with measurement systems and test environments
• Proficiency level in English (written and spoken)
• Ability to work independently and think analytically
