About the role
Your tasks
We are looking for a Linux Embedded Software Engineer to design, codify, configure, unit test and document software for Embedded Linux based Automotive Gateway ECUs, among others.
Main Responsibilities
- Produce high quality, efficient and maintainable code to implement innovative solutions and integrate on automotive platforms
- Work according to Agile methodology (Scrum), including performing code reviews, design reviews, testing and writing documentation;
- Analyze high-level requirements and translate these into detailed specifications and designs;
- Propose innovative solutions to technical issues and communicate with the team to collaborate accordingly;
- Write unit test code, structures, and scripts and support the testers with identifying and solving test issues.
- Support technically to global team members.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Software or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience writing low level embedded software in C language, compilers/linkers
- 4+ years of experience writing embedded Linux software
- 4+ years of experience using debuggers (winIDEA, Lauterbach, etc)
- 4+ years of experience using Configuration and Change Management tools (Integrity, Clear Case, Synergy, Git, JIRA, etc.)
- Strong experience with diagnostic communication protocols such as UDS, OBD, J1939, J1699, J1979, among others.
- Experience with CAN / CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, among others.
- Experience with Automotive Flash Over the Air (OTA).
- 4+ years of experience with verification / validation tools (Vector CANoe, Intrepid Vehicle Spy or equivalent and its extensions for Ethernet and diagnostics)
- Knowledge of ASPICE, MISRA, FSM, Cyber Security applied to SW development.
- Experience with Bootloaders
- Proficient in English language (written and spoken), able to effectively communicate with a global team in English.
- Experience in collaborating with international and cross divisional teams.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as python, perl, etc.
- Familiarity with test environments (oscilloscope, multimeter, power supplies among other bench tools) and testing methods.
