
IT Engineer (Semiconductors)
About the role
This position is designed for a skilled software engineer with deep expertise in manufacturing environments. At the core of this role is the active, hands-on programming of the critical interfaces that drive our production. Acting as a key link to our central department in Germany, you will be responsible for translating strategic objectives into robust software and optimized manufacturing processes. We are looking for a full-stack developer who not only designs solutions but takes ownership of the end-to-end technical implementation, bringing a passion for improving complex production systems.
Core Responsibilities

Hands-On Software Development: Take direct ownership of the practical programming, implementation, and maintenance of mission-critical software interfaces, particularly between our MES and SAP systems.

Manufacturing Process Conception & Optimization: Leverage your extensive, multi-year manufacturing experience to design, analyze, and continuously optimize material flow and factory control processes.

Execution of Centralized Goals: In close collaboration with the team in Germany, you will take ownership of strategic goals and be responsible for translating them directly into technical solutions for our global production network.

Essential Experience & Education:

Manufacturing Expertise: Several years of proven, in-depth experience within a manufacturing environment is a mandatory prerequisite. Semiconductor industry experience is a significant advantage.

Practical Programming Expertise: Demonstrated mastery of hands-on development in a high-level language such as C#, Java, or Python.

Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Fundamental Technical Knowledge:

Software Engineering Principles: A solid understanding of core programming concepts (variables, data types, control structures, syntax, algorithms), constructs (functions, operators, loops, recursion), and fundamental data structures (Array/List, Stack, Queue, Linked Lists, Tree, Hash Table).

Web & Network Technologies: Basic knowledge across network and communication protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTP Status Codes), data security (signatures, certificates, SSL), web development (HTML, CSS, web-lifecycles), and web technologies (XML, XSD, REST).

Database Systems: Strong knowledge of relational databases, specifically with Oracle SQL.

Advantageous Skills:
Experience with Applied APF RTD™ and Activity Manager™ server and client components is a significant plus. -

Excellent team and communication skills for collaborating with international and central teams. -
