Your tasks

Be part of wide variety of activities within automotive product development.

The Mobility Electronics (ME) division develops new electronic control units (e.g. for electric cars, combustion engines, comfort functions, airbags) and a wide range of sensors (e.g. for battery charge state, inertial, yaw-rate, pressure, NOx) in close cooperation with manufacturing. These products are engineered to a state of the art level both in technology and reliability and are to be found in cars of a very large group of manufacturers.

We at Engineering Assembly and Interconnect technology (ETA) are responsible for solder joint reliability (load capability) and soldering processes development.

Your tasks:

  • Development of AIT (assembly and interconnection technologies) for PCB (Printed Circuit Board) based electronic control units,

  • Definition of solder joint load capability,

  • Material characterization and lifetime description of AIT in electronic control units,

  • Setting up and evaluating experiments,

  • Creating reports in English and presenting them to project teams,

  • Usage of big data methods to increase development efficiency,

  • Work in cross-functional simultaneous engineering teams, with product development teams, both locally and internationally,

  • Technical coordination of reliability related activities (simulations, tests, analyses),

  • Agreement of project targets with customer and regular reporting of project status to customer and management,

  • Apply project management tools, like quality management, change management, risk management to ensure project success.

Your profile

  • MSc in material sciences, simulation, mechanical engineering, or comparable,
