Your Contribution to Something Big:
As a Software Test & Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the exceptional quality and robustness of our e Bike systems. You will contribute to this goal by:
- Designing and Implementing Robust Test Solutions:
Developing and executing comprehensive tests, ranging from component to system level. This includes using programming languages such as Python, C#, and CAPL to create robust test scripts and functions.
- Driving Test Automation & Efficiency:
Continuously seeking opportunities to automate testing processes to increase efficiency, coverage, and repeatability. This involves leveraging advanced techniques and tools, including exploring and integrating Generative AI capabilities for tasks like test case generation, test data creation, or intelligent defect analysis.
- Test Execution & Analysis:
Performing in-depth analysis of test results, debugging issues, and conducting root cause analysis for failed tests.
- Quality Assurance & Improvement:
Actively contributing to software requirement reviews, ensuring testability and clarity of specifications. Driving bug reporting, issue tracking, and defect documentation processes.
- Tooling & Infrastructure:
Commissioning and debugging test functions on software test benches, leveraging industry-leading tools like Vector CANoe and vTESTstudio, alongside version control and CI/CD platforms (Git, GitHub, Jira, Jenkins).
- Documentation & Reporting:
Creating clear, structured, and detailed test reports for executed software tests.
- Continuous Improvement:
Actively supporting the continuous improvement of test strategies, quality processes, and overall product quality, with an eye towards cutting-edge technologies.
As a Software Test & Automation Engineer in this project, you can contribute to multiple areas or focus on single areas such as python-scripting testing development, test infrastructure or manual cycle tests execution.
What distinguishes you: Education:
- Master’s degree in Embedded Systems, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a closely related technical field. Equivalent practical experience is equally valued.
Experience:
- Proven experience in software testing, test automation, or system validation, ideally within an embedded systems environment.
- Familiarity with continuous integration, quality assurance workflows, and requirements management processes.
- Practical experience or strong interest in applying AI/ML, especially Generative AI, for enhancing test processes is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with debugging tools (e.g., Lauterbach) is a plus.
- Knowledge of functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ISO 13849/FUSI) is a significant advantage.
- ISTQB Foundation level certification is also a plus.
Know-how:
- Strong proficiency in at least one relevant programming language (e.g., Python, C#, CAPL) for test automation.
- Proficiency with testing and development tools such as CAN, CANoe, vTESTstudio, Git, GitHub, Jira, and Jenkins.
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts and their potential application in software testing is highly desirable.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Understanding of battery systems, chargers, or similar components is an advantage.

- Innovative mindset, continuously seeking new ways to optimize and improve testing processes, including through the adoption of new technologies like AI.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail in test execution and documentation.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional and international teams.
- Enthusiasm for cycling and innovative mobility solutions is a strong plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Germany.
