Cybersecurity Engineer, Junior

The Opportunity:

As a cyber mission specialist, you understand the value of hunt-forward operations, and you know that battles are won in the grey. We’re looking for a cyber mission specialist like you to apply your skills in security implementation and development, and impact our nation’s critical infrastructure. In this role, you’ll be counted on to help understand cyberspace capabilities to evaluate potential weaknesses as well as the effectiveness of mitigations for cybersecurity solutions. You’ll work with your team to leverage cyberspace operations systems to develop solutions aligned to our nation's security.

This is an opportunity to use your research and analysis skills to adequately assess and inform operators and senior leadership and commanders on dynamic adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures for our client. Your role will be vital in the development of operations plans to support command and control. You Have:

• Experience with programming or scripting languages, including C, C++, PowerShell, and Python
• Knowledge of general computer systems, information security software and hardware components, network systems, databases, or information security safeguards
• Knowledge of information system security principles, approaches, and technologies
• Ability to break down complex information technology systems, including cloud, servers, firewalls, routers, and switches
• Ability to communicate technical details to various levels of internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree by Spring or Summer 2026
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT II+ Certification such as Security+ Certification, within 90 days of start date

Nice If You Have:

• Experience analyzing network configurations and network architecture diagrams
• Experience working on major DoD space programs
• Experience with debugging and troubleshooting
• Secret clearance
• Master's degree
• Security+ Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $53,000.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
