Database Administrator

On our team, you’ll constantly look for ways to implement database tuning and performance optimization. You’ll provide your client with peace of mind as you contribute to and assist with developing policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the database. You’ll use technology and tools to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical database.

In this role, you’ll closely impact the warfighter by turning data into meaningful information. With your technical experience, mentoring, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we’ll focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers.

You Have:

• 3+ years of experience administering cloud database platforms such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL, and Google Cloud SQL
• Experience in SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning
• Experience monitoring database performance and troubleshooting issues
• Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline concepts
• Knowledge of database security practices, including user roles, permissions, and data protection
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III Certification within 30 days of hire date

Nice If You Have:

• Experience designing and maintaining high-volume data ingestion pipelines
• Experience building scalable ETL/ELT workflows and data transformation pipelines
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
