  • Space and Launch – Estimating and Pricing, is seeking an Estimating and Pricing Senior Lead to join our team in El Segundo, California.

In this exciting and highly visible role, this person will be developing Cost Estimates and Cost Proposals, conducting cost model improvements, and briefing recommendations up through all levels of the company.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads development of estimates and prices from technical requirements through the design, build, and aftermarket support stages of the program

  • Develops, prepares and validates estimates and prices

  • Evaluates requests for proposal, substantiates estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals

  • Develops estimating and pricing methods

  • Evaluates and develops cases

  • Performs analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk, financial, etc.)

  • Incorporates data into and maintains structured systems and coordinates program database requirements

  • Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.

  • Develops solutions to unique challenges that may serve as precedent for future decisions.

  • Recognized as a job expert within the company and consultant to top management

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 10+ years of experience in a finance related position such as Financial Operations, Material Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)

  • 10+ years of experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Power

Point Word and Excel:

  • Willing to travel domestically as needed

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or a related field

  • Active Secret Security Clearance within the past 24 months

  • Experience with government, company, and local policies, procedures, and regulations (e.g. Estimating system manual, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Procurement integrity, Export Control relating to development of cost proposals)

  • 10+ years of experience in performing cost estimating/pricing function

  • 10+ years of experience building proposals utilizing pricing systems, estimating and pricing tools and processes

  • 10+ years of experience supporting audit, fact-finding and negotiations

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $154,700 - $209,300
