The Boeing Company is currently seeking Associate Software Quality Engineers to support our Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Software Engineering organization located in **Everett, Renton, Seattle **or Tukwila, Washington.

Our team of highly motivated, customer-focused engineers’ partners with Boeing Commercial Aviation programs to help develop and maintain a culture of first-time quality throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

As a member of this team, you have the autonomy and responsibility to work with programs to assure the right process for developing, controlling, and verifying software products is planned and complied with, and effectively improving the quality of our software products – whether developed by Boeing or provided by suppliers.

A broad background in software development practices, tools, and processes is required to be successful in this position. The ideal candidate will be a team player, self-motivated, and able to quickly learn the responsibilities of the position. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills, are crucial for success.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports large scale program software quality engineering processes, resources and infrastructure

  • Works on process improvement activities and supports development of organization policies, procedures, infrastructure and metrics to support business objectives

  • Prepares and presents information at formal review meetings

  • Leads

  • Review and approve of software life cycle documents and program products

  • Plans and leads initial baseline internal or supplier, large complex audits of software engineering processes and associated support functions

  • Participate in configuration management activities

  • Reviews deviations and waivers to the software baseline

  • Plans software quality test activities and completion of test readiness activities. Ensures integrity of the test process

  • Verifies test results

  • Works with regulatory agencies and other functions to develop criteria and procedures for software delivery activities

  • Leads final reconciliation of complex software data products

  • Develops program specific software quality requirements for flow down to suppliers

  • Plans and verifies of supplier's software quality systems and programs

  • Perform software acceptance and delivery activities

  • Analyzes data to identify trends in non-compliances and initiates system level corrective and preventive actions

  • Identifies non-conformances and issues corrective action

  • Reports non-conformance and corrective action data to appropriate management

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 1 years of experience with Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1 years of experience in a Regulated Environmental Quality Management System, International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS91001), DO-178C

  • Experience with Dev Sec Ops and associated tools

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
