Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA)is looking for an Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Quality Specialist(Levels 2 or 3)to support the787 Quality Team based out of North Charleston, South Carolina on2nd shift.

Must submit documented evidence of certification at time of application submission.Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment

  • Performs ultrasonic A-scan and C-scans of 787 composite fuselage and supporting parts, assemblies and structure

  • Documents, analyzes and communicates results and assists with corrective action recommendations

  • Utilizes technical competencies to provide feedback on adverse trends

  • Responsible for non-destructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company products

  • Conducts on-the-job training (OJT)

  • Adheres to Boeing policies, processes and major inspection methods procedures

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test)

  • 1+ years of experience inspecting parts, components, assemblies, or units

  • Willing to work variable shifts, including weekend and overtime

  • Ability to pass near vision and color perception exams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 3+ years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test)

  • 3+ years of experience inspecting parts, components, assemblies, or units

  • Current or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2/3 in Ultrasonic Testing; must have documented evidence available for Boeing Level 3 review

  • Experience analyzing & interpreting Ultrasonic C-scans.

  • Experience running automated inspection equipment

  • Certification in any other NDT method (ET, PT, MT, RT); must have documented evidence available for Boeing Level 3 review

  • Able to work from heights up to 55 feet

  • Experience inspecting composite material

  • 3+ years of experience writing NDT procedures and techniques

  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement methodologies

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range Level 2: $57,800 - $78,200

Summary Pay Range Level 3: $68,000 - $92,000
