**Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA)**is currently seeking a Fabrication Specialist to join our Interiors Responsibility Team in Ladson, South Carolina on Variable shift!

This role offers an exciting opportunity within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Team members will leverage their prior experience, and the knowledge gained from training and certifications to complete daily assigned tasks effectively.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform machine set-up and fabrication tasks

  • Perform composite lay-up, fabrication, and assembly tasks

  • Assemble precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components

  • Assemble and install wire harnesses and avionics products

  • Prepare test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices to perform various tests

  • Perform basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation

  • Apply routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements

  • Work on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Ladson, SC.Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to work variable shifts, with the understanding that your assigned shift will not be confirmed until after training

  • 1+ year experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly processes and procedures

  • 1+ year of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications

  • 1+ year of experience following detailed work instructions, reading, and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications

  • Ability to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel

  • Ability to lift 35-40 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift

  • Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Demonstrates strong effective communication skills

  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned tasks/work

Shift

This position is for variable shift (shift 4). Variable shift means you will be assigned a shift at the time of hire based on business needs. You will remain on your assigned work shift until re-evaluation is required. Shifts assigned for training may differ from your permanent work shift.

Summary Pay Range: $54,000-$64,000
