Job Summary As a New Business Project Manager at Millennium Space Systems, you will operate at the intersection of business development and program execution—helping shape pursuits, support capture and proposal efforts, and stand up newly awarded programs.
You’ll work across technical, pricing, supply chain, contracts, and scheduling functions to ensure new opportunities are executable and positioned for success.
You may also serve as part of the transitional team for new contracts.
This role reports to the VP of Business Development.
This position's internal job code is Marketing & Sales Rep.
Our team is currently hiring for levels 4-5.Position Responsibilities:Lead or support developing/compiling accurate cost/price buildups such as Basis of Estimates (BOEs), Bill of Materials (BOMs), Material Equipment Lists (MELs), Integrated Master Schedules (IMS),inputs, vendor data, and other proposal artifacts.
Develop and maintain a reusable library to support future proposals.
Support capture and proposal strategy and approach develop by coordinating with Engineering, Supply Chain/Subcontracts, Contracts, Scheduling, and Finance to define scope, schedule, cost, and risk Generate subcontractor and vendor Statements of Work (SOWs) and coordinate RFPs with subcontract managers Lead or support risk, executability, and resource assessments to ensure proposed solutions are realistic and competitive Support corporate gate reviews, pricing and other strategy discussions, and executive briefings Identify, qualify, and shape business opportunities with government, commercial, and international customers Lead and/or support transition efforts to standup new programs and lead and/or support execution of short duration studies The ideal candidate has generated proposals for and managed space hardware development and/or production programs.
This is not an IT, finance, or contracts position.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s degree in a technical field including Engineering, Mathematics or Science Five (5)+ years of relevant systems engineering or project management experience in space systems, defense or aerospace industries.
Demonstrated experience managing small to mid-scale hardware projects or programs Experience supporting new business capture and proposal development including generation of Basis of Estimates (BOEs), Bill of Materials (BOMs), Material Equipment Lists (MELs), Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), and Statements of Work (SOWs).Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills with ability to produce executive-level briefings This position requires an active U.S.
Security Clearance (U.S.
Citizenship Required). (A U.S.
Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Master’s degree in Engineering, Systems Management, or Business (MBA, MS)Ten (10)+ years of experience across engineering, project management, and business development or capture rolesPMP (PMI) or INCOSE CSEP certification Experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or NASA space hardware projects and programs.

Summary Pay Range:Level 4: $117,300 - $172,500Level 5: $145,350 - $213,750Millennium is DDTC-registered, ITAR-compliant Company.
This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
