An exciting opportunity has become available to join Boeing Poland sp. z o.o. as a Senior AvionX Software Engineer based in Gdańsk.
Boeing AvionX develops and produces avionics and electronics systems designed for use on aircraft and other platforms for purposes such as navigation, flight controls, information systems, and other core avionics functions. We have set our sights high – to design, develop, and manufacture the most technically advanced and reliable avionic components in the world. We are innovating and developing new products to address the future of the urban air mobility as well as our next generation of commercial, tactical, and trainer aircraft markets.
Hiring details:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Poland. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Gdańskoffice. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Position Responsibilities:
-
Utilizing modern computer programming techniques, tools, languages and agile software development methodologies to build software for delivered Boeing systems
-
Performing engineering activities including software detailed design, development, integration and testing
-
Proactively contributing to project execution plan to set and effectively achieve operational goals
-
Influencing, innovating and continuously improving the software engineering process as well as quality, safety and reliability of products and services provided by Boeing
-
Collaborating proactively with customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports to understand operational and performance expectations
-
Cultivating a positive staff culture, team motivation
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
-
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
-
5 years of professional experience
-
English proficiency
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
-
Willingness to learn and work with new technologies
-
Demonstrated design and system thinking skills
-
Proficiency in Python
-
Experience in one other high-level modern programming language (Java, React)
-
Experience in AWS VMware Tanzu suite
-
Experience with ETL processes and tools
-
Experience with relational database (PostgreSQL)
-
Experience in developing web services (REST, gRPC, etc.)
-
Experience in containerization (Docker etc.)
-
Experience in frontend development
-
Experience in software development for avionics systems or complex electronics products

Collaborating in international and multi-national projects
