Find your future with us.Boeing Korea Engineering and Technology Center (BKETC) is seeking an FPGA/Embedded Systems Engineer based in Seoul, South Korea.In this role, you will contribute to the development, testing and integration of RIS(Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface) System in future aircraft connectivity. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative working environment and is committed to customer satisfaction and process improvement. Additionally, the candidate possesses critical thinking skills to resolve complex problems and should be eager to work with and learn new technologies. This is a highly visible, multi-year strategic effort that impacts all areas of the enterprise.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop FPGA and embedded systems for controlling RIS in aviation applications Design and verify FPGA-based digital control logic (Xilinx, Intel FPGA, etc.)Perform FPGA automatic code generation and simulation using Model-Based Development (MBD) tools (MATLAB/Simulink, HDL Coder)Integrate and optimize systems between FPGA and embedded processors (e.g., ARM Cortex)Design and debug interfaces between embedded hardware and software Prepare detailed design and verification documentation according to system requirements, and participate in design reviews Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems with at least 5 years of experience; or Master’s degree with at least 3 years of experience; or doctoral degree;Experience in FPGA design and implementation (using VHDL or Verilog)Experience in embedded software programming (C/C++, RTOS)Proficiency with FPGA development tools (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, etc.)Strong debugging and problem-solving skills for embedded systems Experience in designing and verifying interfaces between FPGA and embedded hardware Excellent technical documentation and presentation skills Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define research objectives, scope, and methodologies, and contribute to project planning and execution.Applicants must have the enthusiasm to learn new technologies and improve their skillsets Proper English communication skill in verbal and written Preferred Experience:Experience in aerospace or aviation-related system projects Knowledge or experience in aviation standards and airworthiness certification processes (DO-254, DO-178C) Development experience using Model-Based Design methodologies (MATLAB, Simulink)Experience implementing FPGA-based AI accelerators or reinforcement learning algorithms Experience in developing RIS(Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface) or phased-array antenna control logic Participation in national or international R&D projects, especially industry-academia collaborations Understanding and experience with relevant IEEE or other international standards주요 업무• 항공 애플리케이션에서 RIS 제어를 위한 FPGA 및 임베디드 시스템 설계 및 개발• FPGA 기반 디지털 제어 로직(Xilinx, Intel FPGA 등) 설계 및 검증• 모델 기반 개발(MBD) 도구(MATLAB/Simulink, HDL Coder)를 사용하여 FPGA 자동 코드 생성 및 시뮬레이션 수행• FPGA와 임베디드 프로세서(예: ARM Cortex) 간 시스템 통합 및 최적화• 임베디드 하드웨어와 소프트웨어 간 인터페이스 설계 및 디버깅• 시스템 요구 사항에 따라 세부적인 설계 및 검증 문서 작성 및 설계 검토 참여기본 자격• 전기/전자 공학, 컴퓨터 공학, 임베디드 시스템 학사 학위 소지자(5년 이상 경력), 또는 석사 학위 소지자(3년 이상 경력), 또는 박사 학위 소지자• FPGA 설계 및 구현 경험(VHDL 또는 Verilog 사용)• 임베디드 소프트웨어 프로그래밍 경험(C/C++, RTOS)• FPGA 개발 도구(Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus 등) 능숙도• 임베디드 시스템에 대한 뛰어난 디버깅 및 문제 해결 능력• FPGA와 임베디드 하드웨어 간 인터페이스 설계 및 검증 경험• 뛰어난 기술 문서화 및 프레젠테이션 능력• 다양한 부서와 협력하여 연구 목표, 범위 및 방법론을 정의하고 프로젝트 계획 및 실행에 기여• 지원자는 신기술 학습 및 역량 향상에 대한 열정을 가져야 합니다.
