Senior Specialist, Full-Stack Engineer at BNY Mellon

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• Lead the development and management of the bank’s Enterprise Workflow infrastructure by upgrading and migrating legacy workflow systems.
• Design, develop, and maintain Java 21 applications, utilizing advanced features (Maps, Streams, JDBC).
• Ensure code quality and reliability with unit tests using Junit and Mockito.
• Build secure RESTful web services and controllers using Spring Framework and Spring Boot, incorporating Spring Security for robust application protection.
• Integrate middleware technologies (Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ) to support messaging and data flow requirements.
• Perform comprehensive database operations on Oracle or MySQL, including data manipulation, joins, unions, and index management.
• Develop and maintain Angular front-end applications, applying component-based architecture, library integration, micro front-end patterns, and unit testing with Karma JS.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Strong proficiency in Java (version 17 or 21), with deep understanding of core libraries and advanced features.
• Proven experience writing unit tests using Junit and Mockito.
• Hands-on expertise with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and REST API implementation.
• Practical knowledge of Spring Security for application security.
• Familiarity with middleware technologies including Kafka, JMS, and RabbitMQ.
• Solid grasp of RDBMS concepts and SQL, especially with Oracle or MySQL.
• Experience in Angular front-end development, including component design, library integration, and micro front-end approaches.
• Competence with unit testing tools such as Karma JS for Angular applications.
