We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer to join our **Structured Debt **team. This role is in Pittsburgh, PA

You will set the engineering bar for AI-first development, architect cloud-native systems in Azure AKS, and ensure our platforms meet stringent performance, availability, stringent security requirements. This role blends hands-on coding with technical leadership and system architecture.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to impact on our organization in the following ways:

  • Lead architecture and implementation of scalable, resilient full stack systems using Java, Spring Boot microservices, Angular, Kafka, and Azure AKS.

  • Champion AI-first engineering: establish best practices for AI-assisted development, code reviews, test generation, secure-by-default patterns, and documentation.

  • Define system design for high availability and high transaction throughput: multi-zone deployments, stateless services, horizontal scaling, distributed caching, and robust failover strategies.

  • Embed NIST 800-53 control alignment into the SDLC: security controls mapping, automated checks, secrets and key management, and continuous compliance.

  • Drive end-to-end reliability engineering: observability strategy, performance SLOs, capacity planning, chaos/resilience testing, and incident response improvements.

  • Mentor engineers and influence cross-functional teams; lead technical design forums, architecture reviews, and platform modernization initiatives.

  • Collaborate closely with product leaders and stakeholders to translate client needs into secure, scalable solutions; manage technical risk and deliver measurable outcomes.

  • Elevate engineering excellence: enforce TDD, clean architecture, code quality, and modern CI/CD practices.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. 10-14 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

  • Expert-level mastery of Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, Angular, and event-driven systems (Kafka).

  • Significant experience designing and operating services on Azure AKS, with deep understanding of cloud-native patterns, networking, and security.

  • Track record of architecting highly available, fault-tolerant, and high-throughput systems in production.

  • Strong grounding in NIST 800-53 controls and secure software delivery; experience integrating controls into pipelines and runtime guardrails.

  • Leadership in reliability engineering, performance tuning, and observability at scale.

  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and mentorship skills; ability to align teams around architecture and execution.
