We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, POM Product Management to join the Custody Commercial Product team supporting our Custody Client Platform. As a Custody Commercial Product Manager, the SVP will support business growth through client engagement and ensuring BNY’s custody products and services meet developing client needs. The SVP will embody the BNY Principles by delivering innovative, AI-driven solutions, taking ownership of outcomes, and collaborating to spark progress and power our culture. This role is located in New York, NY.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Deliver product roadmaps for the Custody Client Platform, aligning to client needs and articulating the value proposition.

  • Drive P&L growth through new business wins, cross-sell/upsell, pricing optimization, and client adoption; partner with Sales, Coverage, and Client Service on proposals and deal economics.

  • Act as the Voice of the Client to drive custody product change that enhances the Client experience and generates commercial value.

  • Provide market thought leadership across custody trends; develop client-facing collateral and ROI narratives.

  • Use data and analytics to identify friction and improve STP, reduce exceptions, and enhance transparency; incorporate responsible AI and automation with defined benefits, controls, and metrics.

  • Manage business risk via robust pricing and contract negotiations.

Collaborate cross-Platforms and with Operations, Technology, Network Management, Finance, Legal/Compliance, Risk, Client Coverage and Data teams to deliver end-to-end outcomes; communicate clearly with clients, stakeholders, and executives.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced degree a plus.

  • 10+ years in financial services, global custody, asset servicing, or product management; proven product ownership across the lifecycle and client-facing experience with institutional clients.

  • Strong product judgment and prioritization.

  • Analytical and data-driven with proven experience driving measurable outcomes with strong controls.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, executive communication, and presentation skills; able to balance client, operations, technology, finance, legal/compliance, and risk perspectives.

  • Commercial acumen and negotiation skills (pricing, contracts); highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities and make clear trade-offs.

  • Domain familiarity with custody workflows (corporate actions, income, tax reclamation/reporting, proxy, safekeeping, settlement, reconciliations, cash and FX), ISO 20022/SWIFT, digital channels and APIs, client integration programs.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; preferred experience with Jira, TPro, and Confluence.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $126,000 and $210,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short- and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
