BNY Mellon Corporate Actions team is looking for a Senior Corporate Actions Specialist to join a dynamic, global environment. This is a mature, senior‑level role for an individual who combines strong technical expertise with a proactive, ownership‑driven mindset and the ability to naturally support team coordination and quality standards.
The role focuses on end‑to‑end Corporate Actions processing, quality control, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to contribute to process optimisation and AI‑driven initiatives.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Process, review, and validate Corporate Action events across accounting platforms.
- Act as a checker/reviewer, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and control compliance.
- Support XD/PD cycles, confirmed rates, exceptions, and TRACE‑related items.
- Provide day‑to‑day operational support and guidance to the team, especially during peak periods.
- Coordinate workflow and support task prioritisation when required.
- Act as a point of expertise for complex or high‑risk cases.
- Collaborate closely with Fund Accounting, Reconciliations, Custody, vendors, and global teams.
- Proactively identify and propose process improvements, automation, and AI use cases.
- Support initiatives such as fund launches, new client onboarding, and operating model changes.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Strong experience in Corporate Actions operations within a global or high‑volume environment.
- Solid understanding of equities, fixed income, derivatives, and fund‑of‑funds products.
- Proven experience in review / control roles with strong risk awareness.
- Ability to operate independently, prioritise work, and make sound decisions.
- Natural senior presence, strong ownership, and excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and strong analytical capabilities.
- Interest in automation, AI, and continuous improvement.
