We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Junior Sales / Sales Support role, Vice President to join our BNY Investments team. This role is located in Tokyo, Japan.

The position will be acting as Junior Sales / Sales Support role to assists senior sales professionals and sales leaders across the full business development lifecycle. The role focuses on preparing sales materials, coordinating client meetings and follow-ups, managing client inquiries, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and supporting deal execution and closure. This position is structured with a clear career path toward a Senior Sales role.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Support end-to-end sales activities, including prospecting preparation, meeting coordination, follow-ups, and pipeline management.

  • Prepare client-ready materials (presentations, proposals, RFP/RFI responses, product summaries, and meeting briefs).

  • Respond to and triage client inquiries, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional communication.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (product, operations, risk, legal/compliance, marketing) to align on client needs and deliverables.

  • Maintain CRM hygiene: update contact data, log interactions, track opportunities, manage tasks, and ensure data accuracy.

  • Assist with deal execution to help manage timelines, dependencies, documentation, approvals, and post-close handovers.

  • Conduct light market and competitor research to support opportunity development and client conversations.

  • Draft meeting agendas and minutes; capture actions and drive follow-through.

  • Support event planning and client outreach campaigns (email, webinars, conferences).

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes, templates, and best practices.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in sales support, business development, client service, or a related commercial role

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Japanese (native level) and English (business level)

  • Client-centric mindset: proactive, responsive, and solutions-oriented.

  • Collaboration: able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

  • Professional communication: clear, concise, and polished client-facing delivery

  • Analytical ability: comfortable with data entry, basic analysis, and reporting.

  • Integrity and compliance: committed to following policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

  • Adaptability and learning agility: eager to build product knowledge and develop sales skills.
