We’re seeking a future team member for the role of SVP to join our Market Intelligence, Marketing and Communications team. This role is located in New York, New York.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
• Client Insight Development: Own deep-dive research on client needs, behaviors, and satisfaction drivers to inform product and service strategies
• Competitive Benchmarking: Analyze competitors’ positioning, branding, and strategic moves – and identify whitespace opportunities/strategic recommendations for BNY
• Trend Analysis: Identify macroeconomic, regulatory, and industry trends impacting client decision-making
• Survey Architecture: Design and/or optimize questionnaires for client satisfaction surveys, brand trackers, and ad hoc surveys ensuring methodological rigor
• Data Quality Assurance: Implement processes for clean, reliable data collection and interpretation
• Vendor Oversight: Manage external research partners to ensure projects remain on track and deliverables meet exceptional quality standards
• Internal Collaboration: Partner with marketing, product, and business line stakeholders to align research outputs with business objectives
• Rapid Intelligence Gathering: Perform secondary and desk research leveraging public sources, analyst reports, and proprietary data
• Synthesis & Storytelling: Translate raw data into insights and narratives that influence strategic decisions
• AI Integration: Deploy AI tools for sentiment analysis, predictive modeling, and automated reporting
• Synthetic Testing: Use AI-driven simulations to validate brand and messaging strategies
• Continuous Capability Expansion: Stay ahead of emerging AI applications in market research and intelligence
• Executive Reporting: Deliver concise, actionable insights to senior leadership
• Scenario Planning: Use research to inform risk assessments and future-state planning
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or higher
• 10+ years in market research, insights, or intelligence roles is preferred
• Experience in financial services (or other highly regulated industries) preferred but not required
• Expertise in survey design, advanced analytics, and competitive intelligence
• Experience or interest in applying AI to customer research contexts (e.g., predictive analytics)
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and manage complex projects

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $125,000 and $185,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
