Are you a strategic leader with a passion for driving impactful product marketing initiatives within the financial services industry? Do you excel in crafting compelling product messaging that resonates with target audiences and drives business growth?

Our Marketing and Communication organization is expanding our product marketing team for the Markets division and seeking a Vice President, Product Manager, for our innovative and strategic product marketing team. This role will be based in our New York office.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Drive commercial success of BNY’s Markets business line, specifically as it relates to product offerings for Execution Services, Liquidity & Financing and Global Collateral, by creating and executing marketing plans aligned with business priorities.

  • Collaborate with product teams to understand the roadmap, develop positioning, and execute go-to-market strategies that are aligned with overall messaging with both the enterprise and the business line.

  • Plug into broader marketing initiatives across the enterprise and collaborate with other stakeholders across Marketing and Communications to facilitate the creation, coordination, and communication of multi-channel marketing campaigns.

  • Work hand-in-hand with segment marketing, events, creative teams, and client executives to maximize campaign impact.

  • Set rigorous KPIs; track progress and report to executive leadership.

  • Leverage data, analytics, and stakeholder input to iteratively improve future campaigns.

Responsibilities can include:

  • Drive and influence marketing strategies that support key business priorities, with a focus on setting clear goals and quantifying outcomes

  • Build knowledge about the products and solutions sets, the clients they serve, and the competitive environment

  • Deliver messaging and value proposition

  • Enable client-facing teams to communicate value proposition and initiatives

  • Identify product synergies across the broader enterprise

  • Create and maintain standard marketing content

  • Collaborate with partners in digital marketing, creative, events, commercialization, and other specialist marketing functions to execute deliverables

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field; master’s degree preferred.

  • 5 years of experience in product marketing, with a strong track record of success in the financial services industry.

  • Expertise in developing and executing comprehensive product marketing strategies, including product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market planning.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Deep understanding of marketing principles, customer insights, and emerging trends in product marketing within financial services.

  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and excellence in product marketing strategy and execution.

  • Comprehensive understanding of the financial industry and functional knowledge of products, industry innovations and overall competitive landscape.

    BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $81,000 and $130,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

    This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
