Recognized as a destination for innovators, BNY is where bold ideas meet advanced technology and exceptional talent. Together, we power the future of finance — this is what #Life AtBNY is all about.

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President – US Digital to join our Partnerships & Strategic Investments team. This role is located in New York, NY (4 days in-office expected).

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Lead complex, cross-functional innovation initiatives from concept through execution, serving as the end-to-end project owner for partnership pilots, proofs of concept (POCs), and strategic investment integrations.

  • Rapidly assess and develop fluency in emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML, digital assets, data infrastructure, fintech platforms), translating technical capabilities into clear business use cases and executable project plans.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to define structured problem statements, success metrics, delivery roadmaps, and implementation frameworks for new technology solutions.

  • Manage enterprise innovation programs, including the Ascent Program and Strategic Partnerships, ensuring disciplined governance, milestone tracking, risk management, and measurable outcomes.

  • Oversee due diligence and evaluation of prospective partners and portfolio companies, with a strong focus on technical feasibility, implementation complexity, scalability, and operational integration.

  • Coordinate internal stakeholders across engineering, legal, risk, compliance, procurement, and business leadership to drive timely execution in a highly matrixed environment.

  • Establish KPIs and performance dashboards to monitor pilot performance, adoption metrics, ROI, and strategic impact.

  • Translate technical findings and project outcomes into executive-ready materials and quarterly updates for senior leadership.

  • Contribute to external ecosystem engagement by representing BNY in discussions with venture capital firms, founders, and technology partners, with a practical focus on implementation and commercialization readiness.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in product management, program management, project management, or innovation delivery roles, preferably within financial services, fintech, or technology-driven organizations.

  • Demonstrated experience leading implementation of emerging technologies from pilot to scaled deployment.

  • Strong ability to quickly understand technical architectures, APIs, data models, and product capabilities — and convert that understanding into structured execution plans.

  • Experience working in development environments or alongside engineering teams, with fluency in agile methodologies, sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and release management.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously with disciplined tracking of scope, timeline, risks, and budget.

  • Experience evaluating fintech or technology vendors, startups, or strategic investments, including technical and operational diligence.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize technical, financial, and operational information into clear recommendations.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across a matrixed organization.

  • Intellectual curiosity and a demonstrated passion for emerging technologies and continuous learning.

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $68,000 and $165,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
