Description:

Manages logistics providers to ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are met and issues resolved in order that BMW KPIs and targets are achieved. Collaborates with logistics providers on issue resolution and continuous improvement.

Manages suppliers and transportation carriers' performance and standards to KPIs. Conducts monthly and quarterly evaluations of service provider performance. Reports on service provider non-conformances. Establishes performance targets for suppliers and documents quarterly performance. Measures service provider performance indicators. Recommends improvements to promote operational efficiencies in teams, best practices, visual management, etc. Organizes and manages projects. Ensures process standardization is maintained on all shifts through process revisions and communications with the immediate team and/or SP. Establishes individual performance targets for service providers and provides documented quarterly performance reviews. Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving. Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.

 

Qualifications:

BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Computer Science

OR

AA/AS degree in a related field AND 2 years of professional logistics

experience

OR

The equivalent of 4 years of professional experience in Logistics.

 

5+ years of professional experience in supply chain management.

5+ years of professional experience with logistics service providers/suppliers.

3+ years of professional supervisory experience.

Inventory management principles (preferred).

Valid Driver's License as applicable per BMW Vehicle Administration Program.

5+ years of MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Access).
5+ years of professional communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
5+ years of skills providing feedback.
5+ years of skills confucting predictive analytics or statistical risk analysis (preferred).
5+ years of proposal planning, creation, and presentation.
