Production Process and Quality Co-op (Fall 2026)

Description:
The purpose of the position is an introduction to a hybrid quality and process engineering position in automotive manufacturing. This position will be a combination of small individual projects as well as shadowing current Quality Engineers and Process Engineers.
The qualified co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

Daily creation of 24-hour morning reports and continuous improvement of reporting.

Daily attendance in dimensional and quality follow-up meetings.
-
Shadowing current Quality Engineers and Process Engineers.
-
Concept, design and construction of ergonomic and process improvement tools.
-
Time studies for production process changes and feasibility reporting.
Qualifications:
-
BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred.
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office Software.
-
Knowledge of quality tools preferred (PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis), data analysis and statistical calculations)
-
Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
-
Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.

Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.

Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
-
Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
-
MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.

Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
-
THE WORK TERM DATES ARE August 10th – December 11th, 2026.

Must be an enrolled student during all three rotations.
