Description:
The qualified intern/Co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:
-
Connect the network with integrated supply chain solutions to safeguard production.
-
Ensure parts supply at the right time, right place, quantity, and quality for continuous production.
-
Focus on Material Control, Transportation Control, and Delivery Assurance.
-
Act as the gatekeepers of the supply chain for the ultimate driving machine
-
Address areas of uncertainty for material control such as forecast errors, yield losses, timing issues of demand and supply (random lead times).
-
Find alternatives to the current solution, which is carrying safety stock.
-
Develop concepts and IT solutions to support essential daily tasks.
-
Create and maintain visualization tools and material planning dashboards.
-
Optimize processes for the availability of materials, components, and products for planned production and customer delivery.
-
Define the lowest possible level of inventory.
-
Understand the uncertainty of the MRP in the body shop area and find improvements to increase planning efficiencies.
-
Support process mapping of the business and documentation of standard processes.
-
Use resources to support overall planning activities.
-
Lead team meetings and deliver presentations.
Qualifications:
-
Candidate should have completed or be pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field.

Strong interpersonal and technical skills.
-
Experience with Power BI, SQL, Data Lake, or similar tools is a plus
-
Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
-
Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
-
Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
-
Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
-
Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.

Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
