This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. As part of a hardworking team of specialists and engineers you will support the development of spacecraft hardware for NASA's Human Landing System.
This role reports to the Lunar Transporter thermal subsystem lead and provides project management support to ensure schedule and cost targets are achieved. This role will support all phases of design and development included hardware procurement, manufacturing, assembly, integration and test. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with talented engineering teams to deliver best in class spaceflight hardware for cutting edge space exploration missions.
Responsibilities
- Management and reporting of product team IMS in Primavera P6
- Management and reporting of product team budget
- Organization and monitoring product team sprint plans in Jira
- Reporting on Enter here
- Development and implementation of organizational tools to increase the team's operational excellence and efficiency
- Supplemental support of engineering team in driving cost targets into the development process
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years of engineering project management experience
- B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering or related technical subject area
- Demonstrated fluency in Primavera P6
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute engineering design and build efforts
- Exposure to spacecraft development processes
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 8 years of engineering project management experience
- Demonstrated ability to optimize project schedules and budget
- Certified PMP
- Experience with spacecraft thermal control designs
- Demonstrated ability to operate successfully in high pressure situations
Compensation
Compensation Range for:
- CO applicants is $102,721.00 - $143,809.05
- WA applicants is $112,059.00 - $156,882.60
- Other site ranges may differ

Export Control Regulations

Background Check Requirements
- Blue's Standard Background Check Required for all positions
- Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) background check if at any time the role requires one to be on a military installation
- Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training
- Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
