Who we are / The Team
Bloomberg’s CTO Office is the future-looking technical and product arm of Bloomberg L.P. We envision, design, and prototype the next generation infrastructure, hardware, and applications for the Bloomberg Terminal. Our projects include machine learning-powered products, cloud computing infrastructure and strategy, open source stewardship, generative AI, and more. We are passionate about what we do.
At Bloomberg, we put our users first. The world is always changing, so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect the global financial markets.
The Data Foundations group, as part of the Data & Analytics division in the Office of the CTO, oversees the software infrastructure powering and connecting all of Bloomberg’s structured data - from ingestion and modeling, unified managed infrastructure, data access and delivery to end-user surfaces.
About the Role:
Bloomberg is seeking a highly motivated and technically astute Technical Product Management Lead to lead the development and evolution of our core data infrastructure powering access to the world's financial information. We look across Bloomberg’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the central data foundations team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the full development cycle, from inception, through planning, execution and delivery to our internal and external stakeholders.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced product manager leader to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of data platforms, enabling data engineers, data analysts, and AI/ML researchers across the company to build products that delight users and differentiate Bloomberg. This is a unique opportunity to not only influence the data landscape within our organization but also to help build and lead a high-performing team of product managers from the ground up.
You will collaborate with engineering, user research, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into robust, scalable data solutions. You will be accountable for managing a group of technical product managers driving product strategy, technical planning, prioritization, and delivery oversight.
We’ll trust you to
- Define and deliver a compelling product vision and roadmap for data platforms that empower AI/ML innovation.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of technical product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and ownership.
- Translate product ideas into clear specifications, user stories, and requirements.
- Collaborate deeply with peers across the Data & Analytics organization, as well as design and engineering partners, to ensure seamless execution through the product lifecycle.
- Establish and track KPIs to evaluate product performance, using data-driven insights to guide prioritization, feature iteration, and strategic direction.
- Stay at the forefront of innovations in data infrastructure and AI to ensure Bloomberg’s platforms remain best-in-class and future-ready.
- Identify, scope, and lead integration initiatives in partnership with internal business and system owners to drive end-user outcomes.
