Our Team:
We are on a mission to build applications that enable Bloomberg Engineering to plan their infrastructure needs, ensuring financial resources are directed toward the most critical projects/company initiatives. We orchestrate the lifecycle of all physical assets needed to manage Bloomberg's Private Cloud infrastructure.
- We are a team of highly motivated full stack developers who build, test and deploy the applications starting with grooming requirements and continue to maintain the application through its lifespan. We are agile and have a cadence of 2 week sprints. Our tech stack consists of all open source technology
- JavaScript(React), Go, Python (Airflow).

Identify & implement optimized workflows for our users and systems to carry out their tasks efficiently

Develop scalable, robust APIs to be used by the front end as well as API users

Understand and extend data models that accurately represent our technology infrastructure

Build reusable components to improve the development efforts within & across teams

Interact with our stakeholders and gather requirements towards product improvements and change requests.

Design & document the workable solutions to facilitate our user's workflows.

Collaborate with and mentor members of your team

Review code committed by your peers

Field inquiries and requests from production users
You’ll need to have:
- A BS, MS, PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent software experience
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Good understanding of software development principles, and experience in writing end-to-end applications
- Good communication skills to interact well both within and outside your team (stakeholders/customers/users) and must discuss ideas and solutions with clarity
- Self-motivation to identify problems and provide solutions independently
- A curiosity about how things work; continuously learns and improves, and generosity in sharing knowledge with others
We’d love to see:

Practical experience and knowledge of Distributed Systems along with a passion for System Architectural Design

Familiarity developing user interfaces with frontend frameworks such as React or Angular
-
Proven experience developing scalable RESTful and Graph
QL APIs using languages like Python or Go Lang:

Experience with orchestration systems such as Apache Airflow, Saltstack or Ansible
-
Prior experience designing and scaling Relational and/or NoSQL DBs optimizing for performance
Salary Range = 160000 - 240000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
