Bloomberg Electronic Trading Solutions (ETS) trading platforms are supported with Enterprise solutions to provide end-to-end workflows. This way, clients can stage, monitor, trade, allocate and perform TCA on their trades from the Bloomberg Terminal for each asset class, whilst seamlessly interacting with their buy-side and sell-side Order Management Systems.
What's the role? As a result of continued growth within our existing business, we are looking to recruit a high-performing individual to join the team covering the German-speaking region. Within Electronic Trading Solutions (ETS), you will deepen your expertise across our listed electronic trading product suite and play a key role in driving growth in this strategically important market. You will be responsible for positioning our full range of listed e-trading solutions, expanding client adoption, and strengthening Bloomberg’s market presence.
Working within the EMEA region, this role offers the opportunity to generate meaningful commercial impact across a diverse client base by building new electronic trading communities while further developing relationships with established market participants. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Bloomberg Enterprise Sales to identify cross-functional opportunities and deliver the broader value of ETS and Enterprise Solutions to clients.
We will trust you to:
- Develop a sound understanding of Bloomberg’s products, how they integrate with financial markets and have the ability to position our solutions to your clients
- To understand your client base and region in order to build a sales strategy and position our products to both existing and prospective clients.
- Collaborate with your clients to help determine gaps in their workflow to drive an increase their usage of the terminal and marquee products
- Be a self-starter and own the coverage region including monitoring at-risk users to defend the Bloomberg business
- Manage sales and usage campaigns, both self-initiated to achieve business targets and management driven initiatives
- Demonstrate a strong level of Bloomberg customer type knowledge, by understanding how that player type makes money, does their job, and utilizes technology
- Be able to demonstrate functionality and workflows of applicable Bloomberg solutions that improve a specific customer type's need
- Contribute innovative ideas that anticipate, and address client needs
- Participate actively in new projects that drive departmental and firm-wide initiatives
You'll need to have:
- Extensive demonstrated electronic trading experience, through market experience on either the buy or sell side, or previous platform sales
- Strong understanding of Equity and listed derivative markets and the part ETS can play in them
- Practical experience using the Bloomberg electronic trading platform and terminal, or similar products, and applicable asset class functionality
- A commercial approach, along with ability to operate within both departmental and company-wide initiatives, in a non-hierarchical structure without corporate titles
- A fundamental appreciation for collaboration, and willingness to help those around you - Exemplary presentation, training and communication skills in English
- A willingness to travel across EMEA regularly in order to provide clients with a premier service and impact change in your region
- Fluent German language skills
