Content Relationship Manager Exchanges Venues

The Content Acquisition department is responsible for managing, acquiring and integrating content and data from Exchanges, Brokers, Sell-side and other types of providers to drive the value of the Bloomberg Terminal and downstream products.
What's the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Exchanges & Venues (EV) team as a Content Relationship Manager for the EMEA region. We are the experts in Bloomberg's exchange data offering and work closely with exchanges and internal business stakeholders in order to define and develop our exchange data strategy to drive commercial results, as well as technical and operational excellence. We build relationships, both internally and externally, which help us discover new opportunities for Bloomberg’s wide range of products.
You are an experienced market professional with a comprehensive understanding of all asset classes, market structure and relevant regulatory frameworks. You build relationships quickly and effortlessly and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You are a natural problem solver and would enjoy the opportunity to make a real impact on our business.
We'll trust you to:
- Build and manage strategic relationships with exchanges, regulators and clients
- Exert influence to help shape contractual negotiations with exchanges
- Leverage your understanding of the market data landscape to identify and pursue new engagement opportunities between the exchanges, regulators and Bloomberg to enhance our product offering
- Assess risk and rewards for multiple business units and manage expectations with stakeholders
- Build trusted and collaborative relationships with key partners across Bloomberg - including Enterprise, Sales, Product and Legal - to achieve mutually beneficial results
- Analyse and leverage business intelligence to inform your decision making
- Use your broad industry knowledge and network to act as an escalation point and face off to key stakeholders and C-Suite at the exchanges
- Occasional travel is required
You'll need to have:
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or a related field
- 5+ years experience working at an exchange or in the market data industry
- Experience dealing with senior business executives
- Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience managing initiatives with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- Excellent communication, presentation & organisational skills
- A proven understanding of the ever-changing models of exchanges and vendors, as well as the technical landscape in which they operate
- A strong grasp of the commercial landscape in which Bloomberg operates and the ways in which our clients consume data
- Familiarity with market data licensing/redistribution policies and relevant regulation is preferred
