The Markets business manages execution risk in Black Rock’s cash and derivative trades on behalf of investment teams globally. The trading desk supports a variety of internal portfolio management teams, including Fixed Income, Multi-Asset, Equity, i Shares & Indexing, Alternatives, etc., and across investment vehicles such as long only funds, actively managed, passive, hedge funds, ETFs, Index funds, etc. We believe Black Rock’s size and scale serves as a distinct advantage, uniquely positioning us to access liquidity and deliver consistently strong execution.
This role will be part of the multi-asset trading team based in Taipei. He/she will be responsible for all onshore trading and related activity on the desk. He/she will work closely with the local investment teams and support the onshore business growth strategy. This will be a fixed term contract for 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide ‘best execution’ across a range of FI/FX/equity/cash instruments for Black Rock investment teams.

Manage orders and trade flow in a risk-controlled manner, maintaining a high sensitivity to fiduciary responsibility, liquidity conditions and market footprint

Gather and synthesise data, market inteligence, technical input, and trade ideas to support investment teams.

Proactively contribute to the investment process to both reduce transaction costs and identify alpha opportunities

Implement best practices and champion connectivity as part of a regional and global trading team

Forge strong partnerships with sell-side liquidity providers to ensure the desk meets the needs of Black Rock’s growing business in Taiwan.

Work closely with compliance and risk functions to ensure a robust trading environment.
Qualifications:
-
Possess SITE/SICE relevant license
-
Degree in relevant subject such as economics, mathematics or related field. CFA qualification/part qualification would be an advantage.

Up to 3 years of relevant trading experience, with background in fixed income or FX advantageous
-
Understanding of financial products, macro risk factors and implications for risk management.

Well-organized, disciplined approach to work with a high level of attention to detail
-
Strong communication skills, collaborative attitude and demonstrated ability to engage with multiple partners and stakeholders.

Enthusiastic about working in a diverse team, sharing ideas on execution strategies, market insights, and projects to deliver optimised solutions.

Strong work ethic with high level of self-motivation and excellent problem-solving skills
-
Strong analytical skills, with experience in Python, Bloomberg API, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and Excel are a plus.

Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese; fluent in English is a plus.
