About this role Business Unit Overview

The Be Lux Wealth sales team develops and maintains relationships and drives flows with fund investors in Belgium and Luxembourg. The sales coverage team manages relationships with private banks, retail banks, online platforms, insurance companies, and wealth managers. The team leverages its commercial leadership, product expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver Black Rock’s full suite of investment capabilities—including ETFs, active funds, private markets, technology, and portfolio solutions.

Key responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director to join our Brussels-based Wealth Distribution team. This senior role is pivotal in advancing Black Rock’s mission of helping more and more people experience financial well-being, with a specialized focus on Alternative Investments, particularly Private Markets.

This position is based in Brussels, Belgium focusing on delivering the full range of Black Rock product and capabilities (Index/ETF, active funds, Alternatives) as well as solutions (Technology) and Services (Model portfolios, Portfolio construction) to Wealth Management and Asset Management clients across the Be Lux region. The candidate will be working closely with global internal partner groups with the aim to deliver the best of Black Rock to our clients. In addition, the role includes business development and strategy as the candidate will be supporting developing a clear client segment strategy to identify and drive new business opportunities.

  • Own and grow strategic relationships across the Be Lux wealth ecosystem, to contribute to the growth of Black Rock’s franchise, with a focus on private market adoption.
  • Build out and monitor Black Rock’s Be Lux wealth book of business in line with firm’s best practices, taking ownership of performance.
  • Own and drive EMEA Wealth’s Be Lux strategy and drive buy list penetration and net new flows across ETFs, active funds, and liquid/illiquid alternatives
  • Work closely with Black Rock’s investment teams to execute on product priorities and expand specialism within EMEA Wealth.
  • Execute product campaigns via product education sessions digitally as well as on the ground.
  • Participation in and organization of client events, presentations, educational sessions as speaker and further development of such formats.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for strategic partnerships and portfolio solutions to support new and existing client relationships and cross-functional projects.
  • Independently and collaboratively undertake research of the Be Lux landscape, contributing to the development of BLK products & solutions to meet evolving needs of our clients.
  • Increase accessibility and utilization of firm thought leadership capabilities by Be Lux clients.
  • Responsibility to ensure that all regulatory & legal requirements and standards are met personally and within the team
  • Private Markets Specialization
  • Lead the promotion and onboarding of private market solutions (e.g., ELTIF 2.0, RAIFs, co-investment platforms) across insurance wrappers and wealth platforms.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on private market structures, regulatory frameworks (FSMA, CSSF), and tax-efficient wrappers in Belgium and Luxembourg.
  • Partner with Product Strategy, Legal, and Distribution teams to scale private market offerings and ensure compliance.

Knowledge/Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in wealth distribution, asset management, or private markets, with a proven track record in Belgium and/or Luxembourg.
  • Thorough knowledge of the local Private Banking, Wealth and Asset management industry and market dynamics
  • Deep understanding of the sales process, prospecting, objection handling, closing and long-term relationship management.
  • General understanding of product set – ETFs, active fund products and liquid alternative solutions

Skills/Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or an equal professional experience
  • Deep understanding of private market vehicles (ELTIFs, RAIFs, SIFs, SICARs), co-investments, and multi-alternative strategies.
  • Analytical skills
  • Experience working with excel and PowerPoint
  • Research and data management skills
  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English
