The Investment Accounting Group provides accounting and regulatory data services to insurance clients. Our Accounting Services include the reconciliation, tracking, accounting for assets, along with preparation and oversight of monthly accounting packages and regulatory schedules.

The Role:

Responsibilities include the following activities:

As Vice President – Data Governance & Automation, you will lead transformative initiatives that shape the future of investment accounting operations on the Aladdin platform. In this pivotal role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges and implement scalable solutions that drive operational excellence. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate data governance by identifying, tracking, and resolving upstream data issues, working closely with Engineering and Data Management to ensure high-priority items are addressed promptly.
  • Support system transitions, including providing input and documentation for ABOR migration requirements and logic validation, and collaborating with Aladdin Engineering to deploy enhancements aligned with regulatory frameworks.
  • Quality assurance will be a key focus, as you work with Black Rock teams to enhance control models, identify process gaps, and propose solutions to improve reporting accuracy.
  • Drive efficiency by automating metrics reporting using scalable tools such as Snowflake.
  • As a strategic partner, serve as a liaison among Investment Accounting, Product, and Data teams, aligning priorities and supporting execution.
  • Communicating upstream data initiatives at leadership forums and cross-functional meetings will be part of your regular engagement.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in investment accounting, data operations, or financial systems.
  • Proven track record leading and resolving complex operational challenges, along with in-depth knowledge of accounting fundamentals, compliance reporting, and information management.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and a talent for cross-team coordination are essential.

Preferred Skills

  • Expertise in automation tools and data visualization platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Tableau)
  • Familiarity with trade lifecycles and a broad range of investments, including equities, bonds, structured products, derivatives, mortgages, and alternatives
  • Demonstrated skill in guiding cross-functional teams and impacting senior collaborators
