The IT Data Analytics team is responsible for sourcing, processing, distributing data internally and externally. The team covers data needs across all aspects of investment analysis, portfolio management, back-office processing, investor reporting, and regulatory filings. Data Analytics team members collaborate closely with SMEs across Front Office, Backoffice, Investor Relations, Tax, Legal, Management Company in delivering data reporting and analytics technology solutions.
Position Description
PFS is seeking a Vice President, IT Data Analytics to join the firm’s technology organization in Mumbai. This is an end‑to‑end analytics engineering role with a primary focus on enabling AI‑driven analytics, combining data engineering, analytics modeling, business intelligence, and AI integration in support of HPS’s Public & Private Credit, CLO, and Long/Short Credit investment platforms.
The Vice President will design and deliver analytics‑ready data pipelines, curated data models, and BI solutions, while shaping how AI capabilities are researched, evaluated, and incorporated into analytics and reporting platforms Business and Technology teams to identify AI opportunities and translate business needs into scalable data, analytics, and AI‑enabled solutions used directly by the business.
This role is suited for a hands‑on analytics engineering leader who acts as an AI enabler, bringing research, judgment, and practical experience to embed AI into end‑to‑end data and BI workflows.
Responsibilities: AI Enablement

Act as an AI enabler for the Data Analytics organization by identifying, researching, and evaluating AI and generative AI use cases across analytics and reporting.

Define patterns, standards, and best practices for incorporating AI into data, analytics, and BI workflows.

Partner with engineering, platform, and business teams to enable AI capabilities.

Guide the integration of AI outputs into dashboards, reports, and analytical workflows used by Portfolio Management, Risk, Operations, Finance, and Investor Relations.

Ensure AI usage aligns with data quality, explainability, governance, security, and compliance expectations.
Platforms, Architecture & Integration

Shape how Snowflake, and BI platforms are used to support analytics and AI enablement.

Evaluate and integrate third‑party tools, platforms, and vendor solutions that support analytics and AI capabilities.

Establish observability, data quality, and monitoring standards to support trust in analytics and AI‑enabled outputs.
Collaboration & Team Contribution

Work closely with business stakeholders to identify analytics and AI opportunities, define success criteria, and prioritize initiatives.

Act as a bridge between business users, data engineering, BI teams, and technology leadership.

Support offshore/onshore delivery models by providing direction, review, and enablement rather than owning all development directly.

Mentor team members on analytics engineering and AI enablement concepts.
Candidate Profile
-
8+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, data engineering or BI engineering
-
Experience within financial services (credit, hedge fund, asset management, or related domains) is preferred
-
Hands‑on experience implementing AI‑enabled analytics or generative AI use cases in production environments.

Strong SQL skills with experience building complex analytical transformations

Experience with Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or similar cloud data platforms
-
Experience with BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, SSRS, Power Apps, Sigma, or similar platforms
-
Strong written and verbal communication abilities and inter-personal skills
-
Highest degree of business ethics and professionalism.

Strong appreciation for architecture, analysis, problem solving, testing, and agile development

Ability to perform business analysis, as well as manage and maintain various user relationships
-
Proven experience in team management, mentoring staff, and driving group success

Demonstrated track record of academic and professional achievement

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
-
Degree from a Tier‑I am engineering institute (IIT / NIT / BITS / equivalent) preferred
