About the Role:
In this role, you are responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of Service Delivery Managers to ensure seamless and efficient delivery of IT infrastructure services while focusing on maintaining high service quality, optimizing processes, and driving continuous improvement. This role acts as the primary management contact for cross‑service infrastructure topics, escalations, and strategic initiatives. This includes setting direction and priorities for the Service Delivery Managers, driving harmonized processes and standards, aligning with architecture and security, managing vendor and provider relationships at a cross-service level, and ensuring transparency towards IT management and business stakeholders. The role combines people leadership, governance, and strategic service management across all infrastructure services in scope.
Your Contribution:
- Provide professional and disciplinary leadership to the team of Service Delivery Managers.
- Mentor and develop team members, ensuring skill enhancement. Foster a collaborative and thriving team culture.
- Develop and implement strategies for IT infrastructure service delivery aligned with organizational objectives.
- Ensure the team meets service delivery targets and adheres to best practices. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Oversee the management of IT Infrastructure Services as Active Directory Domain Services, File Share Services, Server Operating Systems Services, Database Systems Services, and Virtual App- and Desktops Infrastructure. Ensure the stability, security, and scalability of IT infrastructure services.
- Own and manage the consolidated service portfolio and catalogue for Infrastructure Services from a Service Management perspective.
- Consolidate and manage budgets, cost transparency, and cost optimization initiatives for Infrastructure Services across all service towers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Facilitate communication and collaboration between the Service Delivery Managers and other departments and partners.
- Ensure effective communication and stakeholder management for Infrastructure Services.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and service enhancement. Drive initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce operational risks.
A good Match:
- At least 5+ years of professional broad- and in-depth experience in service (delivery) management.
- Extensive experience in Service Management and Service Delivery for IT services.
- Solid understanding of ITIL frameworks and best practices for service management to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
- Strong vendor and contract management capabilities (framework agreements, managed services, SLAs/OLAs, penalties/incentives, etc.)
- Experience in defining and monitoring key performance indicators and ensuring the team meets service delivery targets.
- Capability to develop and implement strategies for IT infrastructure service delivery aligned with organizational goals.
- Proactive approach to identify opportunities for process optimization, service enhancement, and operational risk reduction.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, negotiate priorities, and foster collaboration across teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams, fostering a collaborative culture, and ensuring continuous skill development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English to operate effectively in a global environment.
- Ability to perform under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
- Comprehensive expertise in managing and overseeing hybrid IT infrastructures, including Active Directory Domain Services, Server Operating Systems, Database Systems, and Virtual App- and Desktop Infrastructure.
