About This Role:
The Global Clinical Supply Chain (GCSC) organization plays a critical role in delivering medicines to patients participating in Biogen’s clinical studies worldwide. As we advance toward Vision 2030, GCSC is modernizing how we work—simplifying processes, embracing digital and AI‑enabled workflows, and building a workforce ready for the future.
The Process Capabilities & Governance Lead is a highly visible, strategic individual contributor role at the center of this transformation. This role exists to modernize GCSC’s ways of working, unlock sustainable productivity gains, and reduce friction across complex, cross‑functional operating models.
You will define how processes are governed, changed, measured, and continuously improved across GCSC—while also helping the organization adopt digital, automation, and AI‑enabled workflows. Just as importantly, you will help upskill the workforce to thrive in a data‑driven, digitally enabled environment.
This is a hybrid role to be based at our Headquarters in Cambridge, MA.
What You’ll Do:
-
Process Governance & Operational Excellence• Define and institutionalize GCSC process management standards, including process taxonomy, ownership, governance, and maturity assessment.
-
Build accountability for process excellence and maintain a GCSC process portfolio with actionable insights.
-
Process Change & Value Realization• Establish best‑in‑class change management practices and value realization frameworks.
-
Lead cross‑functional initiatives ensuring measurable outcomes.
Digital, Automation & AI Integration• Identify, prototype, and scale automation and AI‑enabled workflow improvements using approved platforms.
Workforce Upskilling & Capability Building• Lead digital, data, and AI upskilling efforts across GCSC.
Who You Are:
You thrive in dynamic environments where your leadership and project management skills can shine. You possess a holistic understanding of process management, governance, and the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes. Your communication and collaboration skills are paramount, enabling you to drive change and foster continuous improvement. A natural affinity for system-thinking and technology management complements your experience in data management, digitalization, and AI technologies. You are a forward-thinking individual, ready to embrace challenges and contribute to strategic objectives.
Required Skills:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operational Excellence, Process Excellence, or Industrial Engineering with at least 10 years of experience in relevant fields. Equivalent experience of Master’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of experience may also be considered.
-
