Based in our office in Munich (hybrid working model) we are recruiting for our new
Head of Medical Affairs, Germany (f/m/d)
About This Role:In this dynamic leadership position, you will be reporting to the General Manager Germany and in a dotted line to the Regional Medical Head Europe. You'll lead and inspire the German Medical team, driving excellence in medical-scientific leadership across all therapeutic areas. Your mission includes crafting and executing strategies for evidence generation, dissemination, and stakeholder engagement, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Additionally, you'll manage the German Medical budget and uphold the highest ethical standards, ensuring compliance with SOPs.
What You’ll Do:

Develop and lead a high-performing German Medical Team, integrating it into the regional structure based on the medical value model.

Assess and develop team competencies, skills, and effectiveness, while continuously managing performance.

Guarantee timely planning and execution of the German Medical strategy and related activities, including evidence generation, education programs, publications, advisory board meetings, and more.

Ensure highest integrity in all medical-scientific communications and activities.

Liaise with Region Europe, Global medical partners, and German cross-functional partners to ensure alignment and effective execution of the German Medical strategy.

Ensure efficient communication and processes across Germany, promoting best practice sharing.

Provide medical knowledge/expertise and leadership for projects and specific tasks for Germany.

Ensure that all activities are compliant with all applicable external regulations and internal policies and procedures.

Support compliance activities amongst others by providing trainings and developing SOPs.

Liaise with Clinical Operation partners to ensure efficient/effective execution of related evidence generation

Qualifications

University degree in a medical-scientific discipline (MD, PharmD, PhD)

Background in Neuroscience, Rare Diseases, Immunology and Psychiatry preferred

Ideally 15 years of experience in the life-science industry (10 years in Medical)

Proven understanding of the life science industry and the German health-care system

Proven excellent leadership and people management skills. Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a highly complex matrixed structure

Proven ability to develop and implement medical-scientific strategies and action plans

Capability to understand, interpret, and clearly and precisely communicate complex medical-scientific information

Highest level of integrity as well as flexibility and creative problem solving

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English and the ability to formulate medical-scientific narratives with precision
