About This Role:

As the Global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Long-Term Forecast Plan (LTFP) Lead, you will spearhead the continuous evolution of these pivotal processes within our Global Supply Chain. Positioned on the Global Supply Chain Planning Operations team, you will drive strategic initiatives to enhance S&OP maturity, drive enterprise-wide IBP, and ensuring alignment across various functions and hierarchies. Your leadership will streamline the regional Executive S&OP Governance, collaborating with Business Ops, Finance, Demand Planning and GSC leadership to uphold the Biogen Business Operating Model.

As a business process owner, your role will serve as a critical link between strategic and operational functions, advancing data-driven planning and transformation across supply chain operations. By championing standardization, simplification, and clear decision-making, you will enable advanced planning capabilities, impacting key value drivers like cost, cash, service, and growth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Facilitate regional Executive S&OP forums in collaboration with Business Ops, Finance, Demand Planning and GSC leadership.

  • Align key performance indicators and expectations across S&OP forums to ensure consistent content for reviews.

  • Lead the LTFP process, conducting annual cycles for strategic long-term planning within PO&T.

  • Partner with key stakeholders to define critical assumptions and scenarios for long-term capacity planning.

  • Drive integration of S&OP and LTFP outputs into operational, financial, and capacity planning processes.

  • Lead cultural and behavioral changes to support S&OP, enterprise-wide IBP, and LTFP development in alignment with Vision 2030.

  • Provide mentorship to S&OP leaders, fostering a collaborative and committed environment.

  • Ensure alignment between enabling technologies and development roadmaps.

Who You Are:

You are a strategic thinker with a passion for aligning supply chain planning with regional business strategy and corporate strategy. Your analytical knowledge allows you to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. You thrive in leading organizational change, creating plans to overcome resistance and drive adoption. Your communication skills are strong, enabling you to articulate visions and influence stakeholders effectively. With a collaborative spirit, you work seamlessly across functional silos, fostering teamwork to achieve common goals. You possess a global mindset, operating effectively across cultures and time zones, and your business acumen ensures a deep understanding of financial operations.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relative scientific field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain) with a minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in Global Forecasting, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing within Pharma or FMCG.

  • Proven experience designing and implementing an IBP or S&OP process for a large global company.

  • Demonstrated transformational leadership abilities, including mentoring and inspiring cross-functional teams.

  • In-depth understanding of lifecycle management and ability to translate market dynamics into actionable insights in the Pharma industry.

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI/ML, digital twin applications, and advanced analytics platforms.

  • Experience with scenario planning and cross-functional portfolio trade-offs.

  • Specialized knowledge in ERP systems, APICS certification preferred.

  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of financial operations.
